Meet Our Founder
I’m Yolanda, and I know what it’s like to feel out of sync with your career. I’ve pivoted from finance management to nonprofit leadership, to recruitment, and back again — fueled by money, not purpose. Over time, the gap between who I was and who I wanted to be grew wider. Clarity wasn’t just lacking; it was absent.
A 2011 mission trip to Kisumu, Kenya, changed everything. Standing on the shore of Lake Victoria at the Dunga Restaurant, I was transfixed by the most ethereal sunset. The symphony of colors reflected the water’s vastness, making the horizon seem limitless.
In that moment, I realized my only limits were the ones I had set. That sunset became a pictogram of my untapped potential — a vision of a future where my skills, talents, and experience merged into meaningful purpose.
That moment of clarity became the foundation for Dunvora — “Dun” drawn from Dunga, the place where inspiration struck, and “Vora” for the water and sunset that represented faith, promise, and transformation.
Today, with over two decades of experience as a coach and consultant — and now as a credentialed NCDA Facilitating Career Development (FCD) instructor — I help professionals, students, and organizations rediscover and realign with their “why,” merging industry expertise with professional insight to create lasting impact.
Dunvora was founded to be that moment of clarity — where purpose meets potential, and you move forward on your own terms.
